Icons in the style of our era
I recently saw Kate Moss on the cover of Vogue Germany & got to thinking about the aging Supermodel. Does he still have what it takes to make it in this business? My God, she`s 36! How is it feasible that her career has stayed so vital while her peers vanish in to post-career oblivion? I decided to do a profile on Moss – &, of coursework, this profile MUST include some of her favourite handbags.
Some Things Get Better with Age
Ok – here`s the deal. Not only has Kate Moss been able to stay in the modelling game well in to her 30s, she`s progressively gotten most successful & (some would argue) sexier with age. Moss stormed the scene 1988 at the young age of 14 (crazy!) & quickly became the antidote to the tall, buxom frames of Cindy Crawford & Claudia Schiffer. Moss`s comparatively short height (she`s the size of a regular woman at 57) & waifish appearance changed modelling in the 1990s (he had to make use of the phrase I`m not anorexic limitless times in the press).

Reinvention
In the 2000s, things began to get a bit difficult for Moss. While he was pioneering the now-ubiquitous Boho-Chic look ( hippie-meets-rockskinny denims, leather bags, flowing skirts, ripped tight, etc) he was developing a reputation for partying a small hard along with her then-boyfriend Pete Doherty (of British rock bands The Libertines & The Babyshambles). This lead to an inevitable cocaine scandal in 2005. He lost contracts with Chanel, Burberry, H&M, & Stella McCartney. The future looked grim for this model they was well past modelling middle age at(gasp) 31.
Here`s the thing Kate Moss is one of the only a few modern style icons, plain an simple. Since the early 1990s Kate has made the rules of the game, & they have followed. He invented the sleek model, paved the way for short girls to be sexy, invented Boho-Chic, & we`ve loved every second of it. He can`t be stopped! &, in my view, she`s sexier than ever.
The finish of 2005 saw Kate successfully complete a drug rehabilitation program, leave her dead-beat druggie fella, & have drug charges dropped by the British police. The time was nay for comeback, & did he ever make one! He made 18 contract for the Autumn/Winter 2006 season including Chanel, Dior , Calvin Klein & Versace. He also co-launched her own designing collection (Topshop). By 2007, Kate was the second highest paid model in the world.
The Handbags Kate Moss Loves

Kate`s true handbag allegiance is with Balenciaga. She`s truly paved the way for the company & brought to light their excellent use of black leather. In fact, shes worn a black leather Balenciaga bag from every season since 2002.
&, in case they not forget, Kate is not only a true style diva, but a mom. Here`s shot of her, toting her daughter Lila Grace & a stunning white Hermes birkin.
But Kate is definitely not monogamous when it comes to handbags. Above, he rocks a classy Gucci Monogram Bag & an identical outfitshe looks positively Italian. & in the shot at the top of the page he wears one of my favourite new Hermes bags with style. Ive got to get my hands on a Hermes replica green croc soon, because I drool every time I see one.
